The worst upgrade I've ever experienced was Polish bass forum basoofka.net. The owner wanted to upgrade to the newest version of a CMS before selling the forum. Basic features like restoring password stopped working, even writing posts worked 1/10 times. The forum died, because almost no one was able to post anything.

Its very slow. The constant "look at this feature" notices suck and I hope those ads pay very well, because they have literally annoyed me enough to leave the site twice now

On iPad OS in the address bar has an option to toggle between Desktop and Mobile versions, if that helps.

The site is so slow loading during this first day, which indexing may eventually help, and so full of moving advertisements, which I can't explain or accept, that I need to step away from browsing for a few days and hope for the best.

A lot of us have been using this format for about a month in beta format, giving feedback and helping work out the bugs. It’s been interesting to watch it come together.

From the looks of some of the ignorant comments after only a few hours, I can completely see why they didn’t roll it out to more people.

This is literally how software and platform updates work. You don't have to like it, but being snarky about something you are uninformed about does not make you right about it...

There's still a ton of data migrating. The new site will be slow until that's finished. Hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of posts, plus pictures, wikis, classifieds, etc. It's a LOT of data.

I figured it was. I just reported the experience in case it was helpful.

I run a forum for my company that uses the XF cloud product, and I love it. But TB is orders of magnitude larger in depth and breadth. I can only imagine how much it takes to do this.

There was nothing wrong with the previous site layout. It was the best forum I’ve ever been part of for look and feel (on mobile, at least). But, with the new backend came a new front end. Hopefully it gets better.
