XO Bass Micro Synth

Oh, great. Just what I need right now: an improvement on a pedal that is crucial to my sound.

Why, oh, WHY can't Electro-Harmonix release an XO version of the Stereo Polychorus? It's the only pedal I really, truly want right now, and Electro-Harmonix is now QUITE aware of it. The least they could do - the LEAST they could do - is humor me, release it, and give me a free one (especially for all of the patronage I have contributed to them - at LEAST $500). I'll even design the damn thing, if it'll help.

Wah! Different circuit!

Duh. It's an XO series pedal - the old PCBs don't fit in the new enclosures. But they stay fairly faithful to the original circuit - they're just largely re-arranged and built with SMD components. So, stop panicking and try one out first. :p

Perhaps they combined both boards onto one thanks to the SMD components?

The PCB visible in the photo doesn't have the connection points for the sliders. Also, in the bottom-left corner, the PCB is labeled "Bottom Layer". So... it's definitely a two-PCB design just like its predecessor.

I'm pretty sure the Sterop Polychorus is ALREADY an XO pedal - there isn't a full-size version and I am not sure there ever was one...

I want it too though

I would presume that all of them do.

Yep - all the new ones are like that.

The smaller pedals are great for space, but they just 'don't make em like they used to'.. :smug:

In the case of EHX, that's usually a good thing. :p

It's not. You're thinking of the Polyphase. The Polychorus has yet to be "converted".

The original Polyphase seems to be very hard to find, but I've seen one. I've talked to a few people who didn't realize an old version had existed at one point!
