That tends to be the case of some of them like the Micro POG vs. the big mama POG.

The saw oscillators in those pedals are not generated by waveshaping the original signal. They're synthesized from scratch by using the pitch detected from original signal. Unfortunately this causes the severe latency and feeling of "not controlling the sound".

Yeah, I wanna know too - and even more I would like to see a dang picture so I know if I even care about it. I don't want a "stripped-down" version -- just a smaller true-bypass version that runs on regular power.

With 7 sliders and 2 switches, it's hard to imagine how it could be redued to XO size without losing something. I imagine it will have some other simple but interesting features too. I also think it will probably be digital like several other XO pedals.

You may be right, OTOH, I have had mine torn apart before, and a fair amount of the outside real estate is just open for the jacks and footswitch The design is decades old, and so they could EASILY miniaturize the PCBs without changing the circuit that much. And, though the sliders are interesting I think they suck. I'd much rather have knobs that stay put, and that would allow for a better more compact layout.

Then again, EHX has never been that concerned with downsizing anything....

One thing is for sure, if they remove any of the controls at all it won't be worth having and I'll stick with my "old one".
