Am I the only one that is mildly disappointed? I kind of figured that they would do the XO BMS the same way they did the Micro POG; streamline the features a bit, make it a whole lot smaller, and cut the price in half.

Ha, I suppose so.That would be the Micro Bass Micro Synthesizer!
Not Synthesizer... it's Synth.
No, you're not the only one...Am I the only one that is mildly disappointed? I kind of figured that they would do the XO BMS the same way they did the Micro POG; streamline the features a bit, make it a whole lot smaller, and cut the price in half.
I'm totally getting this, youtube has convinced me everythign I want in an envelope filter will be found with a synth!!!
Where's cheapest place to buy EHX is AUS?
I have just one more uestion - and this is IMPROTANT since we're talking about a synth: IS THIS THING ANALOG or have they gone digi with it. becuase if they've gone digital with the same control scheme, I will just keep my original...
I doubt they would try to replace the old analogue circuit. Would they?
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it sounds, but if it's not as gnarly as the old (presumably discontinued?) one then we might find yet another awesome-sounding synth pedal going for silly money on the used market.
Just to be on the safe side, I'm going to buy a dozen of the current model before the XO replacement reaches British shores.![]()
I wouldn't be opposed at all to a digital rebirth of this pedal, especially after my very positive runs with the EHX #1 Echo, EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai, and EHX Stereo Electric Mistress.
I never quite grasped the intense opposition to digital... it makes sense for some things like distortion, but since EHX has already proven themselves quite well with resurrecting pedals in digital form, I wouldn't be too worried.![]()
Good idea. As bitchen as the SMMH is, it hasn't appeared to affect resale prices on the much larger/analog/wallwart DMM, for example.
