I never quite grasped the intense opposition to digital... it makes sense for some things like distortion, but since EHX has already proven themselves quite well with resurrecting pedals in digital form, I wouldn't be too worried.
Well, the BMS does produce nice od/distortion on two of its voices.
I don't know... Given that it's gone from a 24v to a 9v supply it must be a different circuit. I just hope it doesn't suck.

it seems like a good idea, but sometimes EHX (and i love them) has a great idea but bad execution of the final product and tone.
Also, I understand it's a little bit smaller, doesn't looks like it's much smaller to me though, especially with the knobs on the sides taking up space (which means length wise it might just take up the same amount of space), but it's literally the same thing. At least add another knob or something else to make it improved or have more options. More wave forms or another filter control knob would be cool.
Just making it smaller, True Bypass, and fixing the LED doesn't do it for me. I had mine modded to correct those flaws. So essentially I have the same thing.
You had your BMS modded to make it smaller? I'd love to see pics of that!

On the size front, using my tried and tested "pedal sizing over the internet with no dimensions available" method, (holding a 1/4 inch jack up to the screen and zooming in and out untill the socket looks the right size) I have estimated that it really seems to be almost the same width and depth, but a little lower and obviously not angled.

the size an 9v DC still make it pretty appealing, but I know how MJB feels having spent cash to upgrade his BMS - I just bought mine a couple months ago!
With the jacks on the side of the box instead of the top, the overall pedalboard width required will probably be close to the original. However, as Boo pointed out, 9V power is a big deal.
The thing I am most interested in is whether the new pedals will work with active basses (as I have a LBM which isn't very good with my active basses). I have emailed about the BBM and BB, because they are both drive pedals. This one didn't occur to me. Does the old one work with active basses?

Also, the new boxes are a LOT sturdier than the old ones.
The 9 volt operation is certainly appealing, but I just couldn't lose anything I've got to add it to my board,...unless..Since there seems to be several interesting bass specific Ehx pedals coming our way, perhaps it'll be time to go back to the 2 board method.
