I was going to purchase the subject item for my bass but then I found out it is not compatible with active basses. Can anyone recommend a similar, small footprint wireless system that will work with an active bass?

Xvive U2 system

Hmmm. Xvive U2 is certainly not the best but I use one occasionally during rehearsals… both active and passive basses. I’ve not had an issue. Guess it depends on your electronics output?
At this point many have cloned the concept at one third the price and the only advantage the XVive has is the curved housing folds along the curve of the body of many types of bass. While most brands stick out.
Don't think of like an instrument where some years or place of manufacturing might make a difference but as consumer electronics item in which most get better and less costly every year and the U2 is now old.
