Yes ! finally a tried a stereo connection. And Yes Billy thats is true unless you go to mono. Than it’s another story. I wish there is a way out of that?

This is gonna be a long post.

I've bought and sold so many basses over the past 10 years I've been apart of this forum and the Yamaha Attitude 3 is with out a doubt the best bass I've ever owned.

It is the best rock bass EVER.

The moment i started playing it i knew it was the one. The neck is perfect. I've always
liked fat necks even though i have small hands and this one is so effortless to play i feel like I'm cheating. Because the bridge is sunk into the body, you can get the action really low.

It has the most powerful passive pickups I've ever heard. They are insanely powerful. Even using the pad on the amp isn't enough

This is the first bass when I'm not playing it, I'm thinking about it. It makes me want to play. Normally I'm just thinking about the next time i get to play with my buddies. Not with this bass.

I feel like this giant weight I've been carrying for many years has been lifted. I don't think I've ever been totally G.A.S free before. It feels amazing.

Now i can focus on actually becoming a better player. Yay!

I was in the market for a helix floor and i watched a youtube demo from a fellow tb'er that uses a attitude 3 and was floored by the tone and interested in the stereo option so i had to try one.

It's funny, Me and the guitarist i play with have had multiple conversations about
signature guitars and basses and how we would never own one and here i am

After watching so many videos of billy and how nice and gracious he is, I'm ok with having his name on my bass seems like a really good human being.

Every time I see video footage of him speaking I wonder what he has done/learned to seem so at peace with himself and with other people.

All of its features came about from years and years of constant performance under every imaginable situation, many experiments—both successful and failed, and then fine tuned and included into its design. This is my Taiwan made 1990 Attitude Custom, it sounds huge and I love a neck that allows for really low action.
But I would like to remove the piezo bridge and just have a standard bridge on it.
Do you know of a bridge that has the same baseplate footprint and mounting hole placement?
Yamaha does not have anything.

I was on the hunt for a mint pickguard this winter and couldn't find a vendor that made anything for the Attitude III unless you wanted to ship them the stock guard to use as a template.

I ended up just buying a pickguard blank from Amazon and made my own. It's not perfect but for a first attempt just using simple hand tools I'm happy with the result, and I have enough material leftover for a second attempt.

Attitude Plus, the poor man's Attitude. Needs a pickguard, which seems to be Unobtainium at this point after calling the Yamaha parts department. :-( I'd deal with the superfluous pickup selector switch slot from a 65M if I could find that!

I'm gonna need the new 30th anniversary bass to go with my 30 year old version 1 bass!!! Are they making them in a 5 string version?
