any updates to when the 3TSB will be hitting the street as a production model? I'm not normally a fan of either tortoise or sunburst finishes, but the moment I saw this new one, I was impressed, and having been an Attitude Limited I owner, I would love having this newest one.. awesome

This is my Taiwan made 1990 Attitude Custom, it sounds huge and I love a neck that allows for really low action.
But I would like to remove the piezo bridge and just have a standard bridge on it.
Do you know of a bridge that has the same baseplate footprint and mounting hole placement?
Yamaha does not have anything.

Man, first of all, lemme tell ya: fantastic (and quite rare) bass you got
I once owned two second series attitude limited II (2009's mr. big reunion tour lavared and full black: both pickups in black) blacknickel hardware
They went due to scarce use in my then thrashmetal band (and a divorce btw)
But I still got an Attitude Special from mid '90s havin' top five frets scallopped just like on Billy's, and dimarzio willpower fullset

The Attitude limited II beared a blacknickel hardware but with a brass himass bridge fittin' yours
Sure the Attitude Special I still got bears a stainless steel non-piezo bridge with the shape of yours

Attitude Plus, the poor man's Attitude. Needs a pickguard, which seems to be Unobtainium at this point after calling the Yamaha parts department. :-( I'd deal with the superfluous pickup selector switch slot from a 65M if I could find that!View attachment 3513566

Pickguardian can make you any pickguard you need. I’m not affiliated.

I don’t know if a direct replacement bridge, but it shouldn’t be difficult to pot almos any bridge in it. If the screw holes don’t line up, you could fill the current holes and re-drill.
If you decide to do that, let me know how it goes.

Other than mine, I've not seen another Attitude Custom in the wild, seen a few pics ..and a guy (I think a TB member) had a YouTube video of his.
I've thought about putting in a Hipshot bridge, I was just curious if you (Billy) knew of a direct replacement with the correct hole pattern because it would keep the bass more intact. ...but I figured it was a long-shot finding a matching bridge.
When I do put a different bridge on it, it will likely be a Hipshot.
I'll also replace the stock white pickguard with black, with no hole for the piezo control, and cut to uncover the Dimarzio X2N-B woofer pickup.
Lastly, replace the Yamaha split P with a Dimarzio Model P or possibly a Will Power middle.

I was surprised to find the woofer pickup is a Dimarzio X2N-B while the split P is a non branded pickup.

I like your Attitude Special, and you've done all the things needed to make it a proper Attitude Bass, nice job.
I also like the color.
Yes, your bridge looks like what I need for a direct drop in replacement, I don't think they are available though.
I will eventually stop whining and pull the bridge, fill the mounting holes, buy a Hipshot Kickass Bridge, and mount it.
