I do not see any screws for the bridge pickup. There are three screws each on the outside chrome plate.

2. While going over the bass with a microscope I found a tiny hair line crack on the body near the neck pocket. Maybe 2mm or smaller you can't even feel it. You would never see it unless you held it in the light in the right angle. Something to worry about or am I being to anal?

If you love the bass I would say its a non issue. My BB415 is a little beat up and the pots scratch but it played better than basses 4x its price at GC. I believe the slightly larger screws closest to the bridge pickup itself are the ones that adjust its height.. haven't adjusted it myself.

I wondered what happened. Too bad you missed last weeks MF special. They were selling the P5 in black for $299 for one day only.

As far as I know (at least over here) Schecter cost a bit more than Bb424/425 so, special offers apart, I thought you were tryin' to save somethin' stickin' to Yamaha, this time at least

It's the middle one of the three on each side.

It's infact the middle one among the three on each side of the ceramic single that adjusts the height of the blade.

The small crack is nothin' menacin'... it's somethin' sometimes typical for solid metallic paintings (more "rigid" than plain solid ones) especially in screws/pressure points proximity

Not ON the pickup. Just OUTSIDE the bridge pickup. The middles ones in those sets of 3.

So the little hair line is ok? I do love the bass.

If you're goin' to play it somewhat downtuned, the action is gonna lift a bit so you ain't need to lower pickup
With ordinary tunin', ceramic blade bein' not that hot, it's positioned very close to the strings

If I had bought a new bass, and it had a crack in the finish, I'd return it for one just like it without a crack.

I returned the bass to MF. They had apologized for the issue. MF will send out a new one. Instead of the red metallic I originally had I went with the vintage white this time.
