Yamaha Club Part II

I just purchased my first Yamaha BB414 from American Music in Fremont yesterday. I went to this shop to have my amp repaired about one week ago, and I decided to play this little bomber through a GK head I've had my eye on.

This bass started calling to me. My friend (and guitarist in our band) said to me, half jokingly, "Why don't you buy it?" I stood up and said, "I think I will!"

It was priced so right, I just had to do it. This is really a versatile P/J, and I love the bottom end I'm getting out of it already. I had it home for the first time last night, and am digging it big time, even with factory set-up and strings. I will probably put DR Fat Beams on it after I get to know it a bit, but may just go back to D'addario Chromes.

Sorry for the lame phone pic, but you've seen this model a time or two before :smug:

I wanted to adjust the nut on my RBX270 and it snapped as I was removing it.
So I cut up an old ebony double bass nut that had and made a new nut. It still needs some fine tuning, but it works. And the colour blends in with the fingerboard better than the white plastic one.
