Can't recall if I'm already a member of this club or not, but here's my newest version of my Yamaha...
My BB416 Black Bastard...
Fathand,
that switch&pot is a mid-cut supposedly, and actually it's a sweepable contour. In every position of the knob it cuts a lot of mids and boosts some lows and highs, but those frequencies change as you rotate the knob. I've had a natural BB605 (pictures earlier in this thread) and kind of liked that preamp. It's a separate preamp from the 2-band eq. Yamaha also used to make it in a pedal form, it had Nathan East's signature and it had some more controls, I believe it was the depth and width of the contour.
I sold my 605 few months ago, but then regretted it, now I'm bidding on another one. If I don't get it, I keep my eye on a four string version.
Well, I know I'll get a bias answer if I post my question here
Do you think a TRB 1005 bass is worth to buy?
any pros and cons regarding this bass?
Thx
