And here is a quick pic of my Yammy once it got rewired and strung. As stated in another thread; its a hodge podge of misc parts right now. Its strap buttons were the original set from my Fender Cowpoke (that I took off when I got some strap locks) and the knobs are two from an old set of highhats/tophats that were originally on my les paul. Hey its all good. ^_^

The EQ in this thing is under close observation right now, I think my Aguilar rig is saving it really. I may look into a preamp swap as well... I'll try that first because the pickups seem odd-sized, I've see others with Bart soapbars but there's a gap on each end.

The fretboard on it is in good condition, you see scratches from the low B but nothing deep or through the wood... It's got worn out rounds on it now and I am debating on rounds or flats next.

Yea you could say that. And I swear that Levy strap is heavier then the bass (that strap IS heavy and its frankly too much for that lightweight Yammy)!!!! I also just play odd stuff, no other way to describe it. LOL One of these days I will get some sound clips of me up here for some critique. I play 'unique' stuff and at this point I have no idea just what my stuff falls under as far as classifying it.

And for right now I will stay with that bridge. I was intent on experiencing a Yamaha in all its factory glory and I am in love with em. I would like at some point to change that bridge to something more substantial and something nicer looking for sure though.

And W33nie !! Just awesome!! I paid for my RBX4 A2 earlier today and I should have it in about 10 days. I can't wait :hyper:

Thats a Yammy? Wow. ^_^ I honestly can take or leave natural wood. Its fine as long as the woodgrain is really cool looking in some way (or if its the only way I can get the bass I want as in the Squier VMJs case) LOL and yours is very nice looking. I don't know much about Yamahas still (other then the RBX line, looks wise, is my favorite line) but that one looks really nice. :cool:

Im chomping at the bits for mine to come in!! And my whole neighborhood is going to know it when it does too (hook it up to my rig and crank it)

Anybody in here know what year(s) yamaha trb's had the old logo? The one with the three tuning forks rather than the name spelled out. I have a trb 4p with that logo and p/j config, would like to know what year it is, the serial number lookup on the website says either 89 or 99 and there is not much info on the web about these models.
