some people really desire those things...I wouldn't turn one away at a decent price (not sure of the value myself...but I'd easily go $400 AU for one).

sorefinger is correct about the stringing...WHAT THE...???

I've got a Yamaha RBX550 that I've owned for about 5 years. It's a cream color with black hardware. The previous owner replaced the knobs with standard Strat-style replacements, and there's a little dent in the body a couple inches above the bridge, but I still like it.

I picked up a TRB1005 four days ago and so far, I'm lovin' it. I have a Schecter Custom 5 that I like, but this Yamaha just seems to "fit" me better. I like how it feels, plays, and sounds. It even seems like it is making me sound like a better player than I really am.

Sadly I had to let this one go for financial reasons....it was one of the 300 Yamaha Attitude 10 year anniversary basses......mine was No 184 if memory serves - all metallic purple....I so wish I could get that bass back!!!
