Those glitter knobs are a nice touch! Are they recent? I thought I remember seeing it originally with chrome knobs.

They arrived just after the completion, they were photographed and added to the build thread.
They match so well they practically disappear.

It doesn't mean you can't have a light bass. It does mean that the finish is heavier although I doubt it's a full pound heavier. It does take a huge amount of clear to protect the flake.

I was responding to the "you can't have both" comment. Certainly less than a pound! The clear coat is thick as I've done a few myself.
The boats, and buggys with flake are actually in "gel coat" rather than sprayed on like guitar bodies, cars, trucks, bikes ETC.

Way back , when I was a teen, my dad and I turned my old kid's sized cruiser into a mini pedal powered chopper. Fake tank,(watertight, used as a cooler) dual bullet headlights, Bullet taillight, front and rear fenders, ape hanger bars, extended frame with angled headpiece "banana" seat and sissy bar FAT rear tire, Oversized skinny front wheel, lengthened "springer" forks.
