Around here, with the lakes in southwest Missouri, we call that finish the "basscaster" finish, as in the large-mouth variety of the fish.

Got a kick out of this, referring to things with the “bassmaster” finish has been a long lived practice in my family. Glad to see others are still using the terminology!

I love bursts (all five of my basses are bursts), so that finish would be almost perfect for me. I’d prefer a smoother, less abrupt transition between the colors than that bass, but it’s still a cool idea for someone who likes bursts and sparkles/flakes.
