That is a beauty.

How would you compare your Suhr to your Nordy?

BTW, the guitar players in two of my bands play Suhr exclusively and I think they sound great!

I had a Nordy VJ4 (briefly) and did NOT like the neck on it so I sent it back and got a VJ5 (which I LOVE). The Suhr neck feels better to me than the Nordy VJ4 because Carey Nordstrand's VJ4 neck is slimmer around the shoulders and just feels too slender to me. Also, the quality of my Suhr vs the Nordy VJ4 I tried was not the same, the Suhr quality is better than the VJ4 that I had. Maybe it was just the one I had though as my Nordy VJ5 is perfect. I also like the Suhr single coils better than the Nordy NJSV's that I tried. That could be the difference between single coil vs split coil though..

Suhr necks are amazing to play on. Slender but chunky on the sides and stable as hell. Love them.

The Suhr is very light (around 7.5 lbs) keeping it around the weight of the chambered Sadowsky's I have. The Koa bass is 7.3lbs and the Quilt 5 is 7.5lbs. The Custom Shop Fender '64 Jazz is easily the heaviest of the four basses at 9 lbs, it has been my main player for years and is an excellent bass. The Suhr pre amp has a mid control and is VERY powerful. I really like the Sadowsky pre, but, it's nice to have the mid control for some things. I like the idea of the "Will Lee" Sadowsky but the Suhr fills that gap nicely

Thanks Thumby... I'm thinking about spec-ing a P with a J neck and am now going to have the think about Suhr.
