Yet another dirt question

UPDATED: No bass on this, but this is the sort of thing I'm wanting to put dirty and doomy bass under, ie something to complement the guitar.

The Nano+. The L/HPF is always on. The DGVU is an amp substitute/backup for when I don't have my valve head to play through.

The cat tail is amazingly awesome and would fit in that spot with no problems.

If you’re looking for Rats, don’t forget the Blower Box. Gets great reviews. Ultimately a little fizzier than I liked, so I ended up with a Volt Thrower, but the Blower Box is much cheaper and smaller (probably the same with side jacks).

Also got me thinking - the sound you had described earlier is not what apparently popped into my head. My concept was more “light” tube tones. If you’re thinking Rat (or similar), there are plenty of choices I’d recommend.

My list would include:
Pharaoh Fuzz
Volt Thrower
Olde Dirty Bass

Hope this helps!

All of the suggested pedals sound good in demos. The Cat Tail and Volt Thrower are closest to the sound in my head. Seems like the rat clone is what I want.

Yeah in that case, Id go with either one of these or a blower box. The blower box and volt thrower are going to give you better bass response. I think the VT is an awesome pedal. I just rarely suggest it because it's not the easiest to get a hold of some weeks. The other 2 can be had any time with no trouble normally. I have a blower box and a rat tail though. Love those things. They can do anything from light drive to tear your face off dist.
