This is absolutely true. I have grown dill in my back yard for years and years and not one single plant has ever produced a pickle!Dill pickles are just a Hoax, there's no such thing as a Dill pickle. This whole Dill pickle thing has been blown out of proportion.
I voted carrots, because there is more to "pickle" than fermented cucumbers.
Pickled onions are yummy. Pickled carrots are delicious. Pickled beets are my favorite diner side when available.
And there's all manner of fantastic pickles at Indian grocery stores. When I think of my late grandmother's cooking, I think of lime pickle.
In other words, to quote the guy on that old show Mythbusters, "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
