I installed "Mind Blower" 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. Man, were they
powerful! That's where I got my appreciation for bass.

I had a '66 Mustang metallic sky blue white vinyl top with the pony interior, AC, 289 with 3 speed auto. Not my car but here is a photo Link Removed.

However, it looked JUST like THIS:

Except I had different rims (they LOOKED like that, but were 70's instead of stock), and under the "hood" (which was inside the hatchback...gotta love them rear engined critters!) it was DEFINITELY not "stock", the 1.6L standard engine had been modified (bolt-on cylinders FTW!!!) to a 2.3L engine, racing cam installed, fuel injection installed, and racing exhaust.

I used to revel in embarrassing all the "Chevy Boys" in their Camaros and Mustangs with that car - it'd pick the front wheels off the ground in the first 2 gears!

I love Squarebacks,...sounds like yours was pretty sweet.

My first car I got to drive around the block once and sold it cause it never ran right after engine swap (done by labor at a correctional facility my dad taught at). It sat in the driveway for months before I got my license. It was a 1980 Datsun 280Z 2+2 (non Turbo). There is a photo of it floating around but I don't have a scanner.

Very similar in appearance to this one except 2+2 and the brown was silver.

My first real car was a 5 year old 92 Honda Accord Coupe 2.2 EX.

Very similar to this one....(no spoiler and had the six spoke alloy rims as opposed to the 10 spokes in the image.)

That was a great little car but not very good for hauling the Mesa Boogie Road Ready cabs (410 + 115) that I had at the time.

well my first car (even though I never drove it) was a Volvo... and I took my driving test in my Mom's Saab (she drove a few over the years from 78 to 05, my old man had 2, sister has had 3... and my dad's brother's family has had a couple as well). I've always had an appreciation for Swedish cars

I've only owned a couple 'car guy' cars... had a 72 Cutlass and 68 Vette both with small blocks (Olds 350 in the Cutlass and a 327 in the Vette). Briefly owned a 69 Porsche 911 (holy crap I though the vette parts were expensive).

Beyond those... I had an 87 Jeep Wrangler, 80s Nissan 200SX, VW Super Beetle and a Plymouth Horizon.

Oh and what's wrong with Volvos?
