I'd pay Nino Valenti and Carey Nordstrand to dig up Leo Fender and the 4 of us would fly to England and sit down with Rob Green and John East to make a bass so amazing that it could accurately produce the brown note... if needed.

And yes, it would also be good for metal.

1968 Fender Precision Bass. 3 tone sunburst with maple neck and black pickguard with covers that looks like it has been beat to death from years and years of playing bars.

Most of the fantasy is just going into the pawn/music shop and laying down the cash and leaving with it.

Probably a '68 Fender Jazz in sunburst or white, in good shape. I already have my dream custom bass (WL), but it would be nice to have a bass from my birth year.

A P bass all original for every year of 1951,1952,1953 etc all the way to 1965. Each one would be all original besides a fret job would be fine , but must have original paint etc.

Then a Jazz bass for every year starting in 1960-1965

Then a couple 1976-ish stingrays, fretless, maple an rosewood.


Thats about it So over 20 basses.
