You know you´re obsessed with bass when...

When your girlfriend, who would otherwise have no reason to know who level 42 is, knows at least a couple songs and the lyrics off any Level 42 album you play on the stereo.

And when your buds joke about "that crappy Level 43 band" just to try to get me riled up...

I live in Florida and flew to London to see Mark King/Level 42 for a week at he Jazz Cafe in Camden. My girlfriend went with me and now gets upset when I don't play earlier toons.

You refer to colors by their names on tyhe fender color chart...much to the confusion of your non-musician friends!

Also, you've purchased clothing items because it would match your bass.

Your friends take you clothes shopping for your birthday and you spend the entire time in a music store, which you spend with a Peavey Cirrus.

when youre in highschool and you are never caught, before school, after school, or during lunch, without that school bass on your neck, and when you play bass in concert band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, and marching band.

Sometimes your girlfriend is ready to leave before you are because you have to finish playing that song.

You keep at least one bass at the practice space, at home and at the girlfriend's house, and several have visited the office.

Everyone close to you now has the ability to distinguish between different common basses and playing styles, even though they were never interested in bass at all.
