[DEL]someone[/DEL] everyone you know has breast implants
Then I'm über-Californian.
Our garbage cans have a total of 8 compartments for:
Then there's the ancillary box for small batteries and light bulbs.
- Compost
- Newspapers
- Paper packaging
- Plastic packaging
- Metal packaging
- Coloured glass
- Clear glass
- Combustible.
Anything beyond those has to be taken to the recycling central where there's an additional 7 or 8 categories.
By 'compost', do you mean 'yard waste'? There's a difference- compost is yard waste that has broken down to the point of being useful as bedding, soil amendment or mulch.
Unless someone has a small yard, I don't know why they wouldn't have a compost pile. It's free dirt. However, I would use a sealed enclosure if food scraps are included, to keep rodents out.

If you drive to your mailbox--in your hybrid SUV.
You might be a northern Californian if you can smoke pot but not cigarettes in public as you cycle to work.
