You might be a Californian if...........?

You might be a San Franciscan if your 5-year-old grandson wants calamari and pad thai for dinner. Your father-in-law refers to you as the "white sheep of the family." you have to wear a coat to the beach in July, the rent on your storage unit costs more than a penthouse in Las Vegas, you think traffic lights are only for people in cars, unless you are in a car then you can ignore them too. The streetcar you rode to work is more than 50-years-old. You have ever had to put a brick in your toilet because of water rationing. Your whole house could fit inside of the average suburban garage. You can hear your neighbors arguing next door but you can't get any gossip because they are speaking French. You are offended if someone honks at you. Your neighborhood looks like a session at the United Nations. You have climbed up the inside of the Statue of Liberty but have never been to Alcatraz. You walk to the grocery store.

Flip-flops are considered business casual at your corporate hq.
You have your good and your 'older' crappy flip-flops.
You have 1/20th of an acre and its considered spacious.
Long pants are a complete bummer and nuisance.
You can walk to 10 non chain restaurants and you live in the burbs.
You expect a $74,000 commission check that is $29,000 after taxes!

You might be a Californian if...

A) You think Mexican Food is one of the 5 food groups

B) You own more pairs of boardshorts than pants

C) Your "winter wear" consists of a hoodie and a pair of sneakers

His name is Harry Perry (possible relation to Eric?). I had one of his CDs pinned up on the wall at my previous residence.

I was working with musicians and bands on the marketing side about 14 years ago...I was required to take a class at the local Learning Tree about music business. The guy who taught the class, claimed that he tried to sign him to a record contract (he already had notoriety) for 25K, and he declined it. He told him that he made more money at the beach. AFAIK, he is a multi millionaire and owns 2 houses in the Santa Monica/Venice area.
