Thanks Chris - I really like that combination, the freedom of a piano-less group but with the additional options of multiple horns, I've led both an Octet and a Quintet over the years put together that way...

Here is a quick phone clip from a performance I did last night. I wish there was more video because the rest of the band was on fire.
I started playing for my former college again, as they needed a bassist. Luckily, the (very silly) Halloween concert was caught on video, in which you can see me in the back dressed like I stepped in from tenth century Scandinavia.
You can also, if you look closely enough, see as my right hand and wrist start succumbing to nerve damage and forget how to work properly. Don't go breaking your wrists, people, you'll keep having issues twelve years later.

Okay, sorry to flood the thread but some other recordings of my quintet playing the other day surfaced. Just audio. I am so lucky to get to play this music with these people.

Here’s a nice clip from our performance at the Detroit Jazz Festival 2022. It’s just the guitar solo from my tune, Some Old Light. The clip ends right at the beginning of the bass solo, lol… I’ll go back through it all eventually and maybe put up the whole song (I’m a bit technologically challenged…). It was great to be there, but our drummer got Covid and Rob Avsharian (a great player and a great friend) was a last minute sub so we haven’t really posted much of the footage. Enjoy.
This is a cell phone video of about a third my set with Roscoe Mitchell last month. A hi res video is coming. The only horn he brought was the bass saxophone. It was an incredible experience to be on stage with him playing that horn!
