Here is my solo set from Jan. 21st. I play a long pizzicato opening. I focus more on the bass and the bow in this set and less on prepared bass, though there is some.

Gerard Grisey: Espaces Acoustiques, from a show last night.

One of the main concepts of this piece is based on a spectrum analysis of a double bass' open E string and its harmonic frequencies -- so-called "spectral music". When the bass finally starts hammering on the E string (ca. 34:00 on this video), it is monumentally satisfying to hear and even more so to play.

Here's a clip of a fun concert I did last month with my string band. It's the whole concert, so no pressure to listen to the whole thing. We played a couple original compositions, a couple swing tunes, and some folk - technically we call ourselves a bluegrass band but we missed that memo for this gig. On the last tune I sing the Bob Wills classic, Sugar Moon.
