Me at Fibbers in Summer, with my old band The Abstracts.

Bass: Spector NS-2A.
Amp : Ashdown MAG 300 4x10.

Can't remember if my Barber overdrive was switched on, don't think it was. Had the mid and high mid cranked on it to get that sound.

Hi,

Cool YouTube Vid.

I have several basses acouple of early 50s, Fender P Japanese re-issues, A Hofner Club, Epi Allen Woody and a Epi Bird.

I really love TBirds, however I swear I am getting the same tone out of my Epi Bird.I just can't (at this time) justify the 1400.00

Here's me playing at Guitar Center. TBer Beyondhairy filmed it.

NOTE: Poor GC lighting makes me look like charcoal.

I hope to make some vids of me messing around with my effects and rig and such.

OK I might as well bite. This was a while ago, I am like three pieces ahead in the book now, but I am pretty proud of this. I am playing an Ibanez SR905 into my SWR WorkingPro 12 and then the direct out into my firepod. It is Bach-Suite #2 in D Minor Second Movement.

I want to start doing some YouTubes. Can you explain the whole Fire Pod thing to me. How to aply it and where to buy it.What do I need to get started.

Click on "See More" for the other three vids I have up.

Also my friend has some clips on his myspace page of me playing bass for some tracks.
Link Removed (I'm on the first two tracks)
(Please forgive a few blue notes, I was playing an unlined fretless)

LET ME GET SOME COMMENTS ON WHAT YOU ALL THINK :)

THANKS!
Let's start with this one I found...
The band was Boy Crazy (Emerald Moon Records)...our friend Alex from the band All Time Low was singing for the night...

^This one is at the Hayward/Russel blues festival in California with my main band,Texas Johnny Brown.'97 Roscoe Beck 5 string thru a big GK backline.I was playing way too loud because our regular keyboardist couldnt make it and our fill in didnt really know the changes.

All of these were recorded with regular old video cameras with no audio inputs, which explains the sound quality.Sorry bout that.........

I added a few first time vids on YouTube the other day. I imagine they'll get better as I do more of 'em and get better with iMovie. The vids are at www.youtube.com/refinedbass

Let me know what you guys think.

Another TubeNoob like me! As well as a fellow Warwick player. Liked the chord stuff particularly. Do you find that when strings are newer both pickups sound very similar, then as the strings age the different pickups sound more distinct?

Over my Christmas and summer break (I'm Australian) I've done an original song with bass accompaniment, with some high tap-harmonics throughout, recorded on ProTools and with two different versions of a music video clip in Windows Movie Maker. All very beautifully amateur! Best viewed through the myspace page so it forces the High Quality mode, but take your pick:
