If you could only pick 3, who would they be? Mine are Dusty Hill, Geddy Lee and Mel Schacker. If I had to pick a 4th, it would be Chris Squire, with John McVie given honorary mention.
There have been quite a few but the three most influential early ones were Terrence Butler, Chris Squire, and Jon Camp.

From early on: Monk Montgomery, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix (I was mesmerized by the bass on "Watchtower", turns out it was Jimi, so ... ) But maybe I should say Roger Glover, for "Smoke On The Water", played that with the old garage band ... way cool dude!
