how about some of the soloing from Ramblin' Man? awesome song... the weird science teacher at our school always plays music really loudly in the hallway in the morning... he was playing that this morning and I just stood and listened for a couple minutes. Awesome.

i don't know, p...they sure seem pretty comfy cozy together in my avatar ;)

they actually have a lot more in common than people think. devo is supposed to be all about machine-like precision but they're deeply rooted in the blues, and jb is all about the blues and r&b but he strived for machine-like precision in his music.

A few are from,

"Do it again" by Steely Dan. I really like how the guitar has a sitar sound and how its blends its self into the for coming keyboard solo.

"Man in the Box" by Alice Chains. Its not the most epic but there is like 3 or 4 seconds that is played and every time I hear it I scratch my head like" how did he do that?"

I have other but drawing a blank

( I would like to add the solo from the song "the Ritual" from the same album performed by Alex Scholnick of Testament)

Frusciante`s solo work is all over the map; some good, some interesting, some awful. But, I looove the track "Murderers". It is a fantastic instrumental. Flea always got the spotlight with the Peppers, but John is what really took them to the next level - he will be missed greatly.
