Both are great. The king is a great drive and can be used for old school tube sounding drive on bass. I went between it and the pork and pickle and it's a great tone. The boss just does everything.

Why have I read all 10 pages of this thread and taken copious notes? I should know better.
the big question is if people feel the same way they did in the first few pages as they do now.
I think these were the best of '22 for me. I honestly don't remember when some were bought...
1. MBD-2 - Definitely my best of '22, and definitely bought in '22. Ended up replacing my B3K AND Pork Loin, though I re-tooled my PL for another usage because I absolutely love that thing. Anyway, fantastic, versatile dirt. I use mine for a thrash style tone - plenty of punch and definition, just enough dirt to cut through, and a bit more highs.
2. Swollen Pickle - I've had a few over the years, but buying #3 in '22 cemented its permanent spot in my fuzz rotation. Not gonna leave now. It's a VERY close second to my absolute favorite muff (Pharaoh Supreme), and much more readily available and more affordable. Excellent full-bodied muff that is crazy tweakable.
3. Rats - I know I started this binge in '22, but I'm not sure when I bought some of them anymore. The Blower Box and Cat Tail fell by the wayside, but the Volt Thrower looms large on my board. It's a toss up between that and the Tremond for my favorite Rat, with board space being the biggest difference for me right now. But the Tremond was bought this year... Anyway, my #3 Rat - the Bass Mountain - was certainly bought in '22 and it's being kept as well. It's just different enough to the others to keep around.
