Conklin Groove Tools Bill Dickens 7. Oozing with versatility and has yet to let me down. I've been playing it a little more than a year for a variety of styles (rock, urban gospel, p&w, etc.) and still don't feel like I have explored all of its potential. It has been a fun bass to work with.

Tokai APB'57 - a '57 P-Bass "reissue". Just post-lawsuit era Tokai, made in 1985 or 1986. It's not that it's "the best" so much that it's the one I trust to tell me the truth. If the rig sounds bad with that bass, it's a crappy rig. I take it when I need to eliminate variables, which is a lot of the time.

Can't really say, I like both my basses equally since they both have really great tones in their own ways.

Saying that, The stingray feels "right" in terms of how it reacts dynamicly and how the neck feels.
