Your experience with CircleK strings?

I got a set for my Bass VI. My first set of strings from them. I dug how they're packaged, and the price was decent, but something happened today that I've never had happen before.
Usually when I get a brand new set of strings they're bright and shiny in look, feel, and sound. Over time they dull until they go dead and it's time for a new set. It's always such a gradual process. I never really notice my strings on their slow decline to landfill heaven. It just happens one day when I realize that my strings aren't in as good of shape as they once were.
Funny thing with these Circle K strings (that I've had on my bass for about a month now) is when I picked it up today, found something strange. They just went totally dead. No decline, no warning. Just dull, lifeless strings. A drastic change from when I played it just a couple days ago.
I've been playing stringed instruments for over 15 years now and I've never experienced this. What do you guys think it could be? Could some weird freak of a weather pattern killed my strings overnight? Was there something dangerous in the pizza bread I ate before last Saturday's show that made me sweat acid? Do Circle K strings just have a funny deterioration?
Anybody have a similar experience?

I've played Circle K numerous times and they seem to go dead just as quick as any other string, i.e., they start losing their high end after 3 or 4 days and after a month they are pretty much dead as a doornail. That's the experience I have with pretty much every string, but of course, YMMV.

They're fairly generous with their customer service, if you're not happy you could try asking for a replacement set, or at least describe what happened, they might even be interested in testing these strings to see if there has been a manufacturing mistake, which would benefit everybody.

This.

Prior to my current job and string of choice, I used Circle K for a bit. I knew Skip from another forum and met Chris (and Dave, when he was a part of it) and all three gentlemen are top notch, interested in their players, and do what they can to make things right.

Oh boy! Finally the thick strings I've been hunting!!! 185 and going thicker!!! Name change is in affect. Effect. I had never heard of circle k. Except the convenience store in bill and Ted. They recommend not coiling, why not package them straight in tubes like spaghetti? Shipping costs I guess.

I've used D'addarios by choice but when I got a Squire VI only Circle K offered the incredible number of options. Got some D's but was disappointed by the gauge offering and also got some Circle Ks. Put the Ks on and I was delighted with them. Cured the rattle I had and the E is much stronger (.98). I was a little surprised by how they shipped but then read their rationale for not coiling. Waiting to see how they stand up over time.

i too think that they last as long as other brands, after playing i give them a quick wipe
down with bass brites. imo......kalium/circle k sounds the best, and Skip is awesome with
any help/questions you may have.
