Have to go with my Allparts neck Warmoth body J-bass with Lollar pickups. It has the best overall sound.
Interesting! I actually grew up on Nottingham Farm- Campbell Blvd was a dirt road which led to our house... I, now, live on a condo in the cow pasture I used to play in
... had my wedding reception at The OPI- small world! 
Would have to be my Tune sixer with paduak top and Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.
I'm kind of a bass polygamist and love all mine but these 2 are going in the coffin with me.
I hadn’t considered the sharknado angle. I should probably keep it in the case.
I know this is painfully obvious, but any MIA Fender P-Bass will do me just fine, forever...
I have a 3-Color Sunburst like that except with a Maple board. The white pickguard seems to go with maple better.
It's a moving target for me. Probably the last one I played. I have a lot of basses and I like things about all of them and dislike things about all of them. I rarely get rid of a bass and might pull one of them out at anytime. They are all different and all wonderful in their way. Can't pick a favorite. But if I had to keep just one it would be my ancient Jazz Bass that I grew up with.
Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones 4 string. One of the very last batch to be manufactured in Korea. Bought from a music shop in Aberdeen, Scotland, which no longer exists.
Paid for with money left to me in her will by my grandmother, a professional musician. Played in Scotland, Ireland, and Germany for the last 13 years.
It feels like home. Selling it would be pointless - nothing else could provoke the memories.

This one. Other basses have come and gone, before and after this one. This one has stayed.
I have a 2006 Warwick Corvette 5 string that is a beast to play, but it’s well worth the effort. My all time fav is my 2000 American Fender PJ. I just love the tort...LOL!!!
I've played and/or owned my fair share of basses from budget to pro/boutique level. And my #1 is a bass that has really grown on me over time, and kinda needed to. I'm glad something in my brain told me to take the plunge to have it modded up as heavily as I did right off the bat, because that made me keep the bass and allow it to grow with me. This bass now totally fits me right, has become the best sounding bass I've had, and I simply cannot keep my hands off of it. Especially now that, with its most recent setup, I've found the strings it likes best (D'Addario balanced tension XLs- 45-107).
That bass is coming with me to the afterlife. It's funny, I've tried to retire it a few times... but it doesn't want to retire.
It's that whole "the wand chooses the wizard" thing. This bass was a Guitar Center rescue that was meant to be with me. I rescued it circa 2011 and it's toured with me up and down the east coast and even been in photo shoots with alternative models.
Is it the best bass I've played? No. Is it the most expensive bass I've owned? Even with all the mods, no. But it is my favorite. I'll take my "modest" bass over the Fodera or vintage P that peers have allowed me to play. This bass is "my" bass. It's unique like I am.
It's my heavily modded LTD HTB-600 that I've posted about quite a bit. I had a luthier give it that killer swirl paint job, swap out the active EMGs for passive Duncans, and it's gotten a Hipshot Xtender and Dunlop Straplocks.

Even though I've been playing a 95 MIA P Bass for the last 20 something years, my favorite Bass is the sunburst 98 MIA P Bass that I bought new at the tail end of 1998. I paid $575 for it with a hardshell case.
Well, I took it to rehearsal last night and I think I'm going to park the 95 for a while and give the 98 some long overdue play time. Funny thing that I noticed recently about the 98 is I've never peeled the protective plastic off of the pick guard, and at this point I see no reason to.
