Your favorite bass, ever?

I've owned several great basses over the years and still have a few of them. I know it's difficult to single out one bass that you might consider your favorite but just wondering if you had one choice what would it be? For me it's my 1995 German Warwick Fortress One Masterman. It's the easiest playing and best sounding bass of the 30 or so basses that i have owned.View attachment 4126578 It would be the last one that i would ever sell.

Have an American Jazz Bass. Apparently I’ve played it enough to have noticeable fret wear and discoloring on the fretboard from my yucky fingers. Never had a bass do that. Must be a sign

My favorite bass I've ever played is without a doubt my current, one-and-only. It's an instrument I've wanted for many years and it has left me with zero desire to buy or even play any other bass guitar. That's a really good feeling.

Hard not to pick my '76 Musicmaster Bass. My pops bought it brand new in 1976. Still has the music store sticker on the headstock (Ace Music, Santa Monica).

Yeah they were designed to be student models. The first mass produced plywood bass, I think. What's lost in tone/projection is made up for in durability and stability. They're super popular with jazz cats cuz we always plug in on live gigs anyway. But it actually sounds pretty darn good on its own and mic'd up, too! I may get a fully carved bass someday, but I can honestly say this is the last bass I'll ever need.
