Just once in my lifetime I want to drive a Ford GT. One of the old ones would be fine.
I like the originals, the last reissue was similar but the new ones are space age looking by comparison and twice as expensive , but probably less expensive than an original survivor GT40

More power and performance than any car I've ever owned, and definitely more than I'll ever actually get to use. But I WILL have fun expanding my boundaries.
While I'm sure the Camaro will out perform the 63 in every department, the 63's style has more personality than any new car will ever have, imo of course. Something with today's styling concepts that I can't quite get used to..... maybe the large wheels, plastic bumpers, lack of chrome and looking like IBM threw up under the hood.......... I miss the simplicity, brute force and ignorance of the old school muscle cars.
The McLaren I can't comment on because I know less than zero about them. I could guess that the car handles and accelerates like a dream.... and I'm certain the price tag reflects that.
Oh, btw..... a trailer hitch on a Camaro?? What do you tow with that?

I want to hurt the moron who ran into that car. I want to cause them pain.
Classic stupidity. Idiot had an old Camaro with faulty brake, so he was driving it downtown through the busiest streets in Denver to "get the brakes fixed." I was on Speer (a main street) and he came sailing through a red light intersection about two seconds after it changed, because he couldn't stop. He took about 2 feet off the front of my GTO.
I can't answer the question for the camaro owner, obvs, but back when I had a 350Z a friend with a Z had a hitch so he could pull a trailer with his track wheels and appropriate tools and supplies. I thought this was a good solution, as his options were way more expensive. As a bonus, he could fit a hitch-mounted bicycle rack. Might not have been the most aesthetically pleasing option ever, and likely didn't help his lap times, but it worked for him.
We are definitely on the same page wrt '63 style & personality, vs '17 performance. I do appreciate today's styling, though. Especially knowing the constraints that designers face with regard to meeting ever changing crash specifications (thanks IIHS), mass, and fuel economy targets and finding places to package new technology and safety gear.
As for the hitch? Second most common question I get with this car. It's for my bike carrier.
