I just played one of these at a GTG last month and I loved the way it felt. I wasn't even aware that the frets were fanned when I started playing. It felt so natural.
Flexible, eye-catching, smooth feel, gets lots of attention at any gigs (from dive bars to stadiums!) and allows the user to forage among the deciduous upper canopy, where there is less competition for food resources....
ALSO - can be used to stand high above other bandmates and literally, poop on their heads.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but I like the goose-neck the best. You bend it and it stays exactly at that position!

I'd have to say Jaydee, narrower than a traditional P style, not partucularly slim but more comfortable. The fingerboard is ebony and so should be long lasting and the frets a litttle narrower than fat fender flats giving a more precise feel. Somehow, though, it is fast. I don't know if this is being narrow or what but its so easy to be fluid and to play by effortlessly caressing.
Seconf favourite is a Musicman. Don't know enough to be any more specific as I've never owned one but on all those I've tried the neck has been the outstanding feature. Precision but better.

Of all the basses I've owned, I have to say that the Hamer Cruise neck has been the thinnest and fastest of all of them.
my 87 and 97 warwick thumb nt have an amazing neck. they both date back to when they didnt use ovangkol on the neck. i find it smoother than the current thumb necks. not to mention the sexy look of em.
I've owned the new American Fenders and a few Fullerton Fenders and I have to say, the best feeling necks (both P and J) are the Laklands I own. Just the right depth (not too thin, definately not thick) and the worked in satin finish is perfect.
I had a Corvette with a wenge neck and, while it was very nice, found myself liking the ovangkol better. Not sure if I prefer the feel or the beefier profile, but you can't go wrong either way.
I think the reason old thumb necks feel good is due to the wenge and bubinga sandwiched together to make an overall slim porfile. but seriously what wood that warwick as a neck doesnt feel amazing?

I'm down with the Modulus as well...
The feel great, punchy and well they are most stable.
Pedulla Raptures for me... At least the ones I own.
I like Wenge Warwick neck, Spector necks and Modulus necks as well.

Pete Skjold's necks are hard to beat. Even the 6-string I tried had a nice feeling neck, and the finish is protective but fast.
The necks on my Hanewinckel and Yamaha are quite good too IMO. Both are on the thinnish side and play nice and fast. Both are totally comfy.
