Your favorite pedal under $50 new

Yes, you have to choose.
Yes, you only get one.
Yes, it has to be the new price.

No, it does not have to be something you play out. Could just be something fun you jam on at home.

Mine has proven difficult to incorporate into my band rig. It's the Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz. $29, and they go on sale regularly. Sounds through my practice rig. Cuts too much bass to gig.

What's yours?

Mooer Sweeper clone of my all time favorite defect pedal the EHX BassBalls.

Honorable mention to:
Donner Harmonic Square
Azor Chorus
Mosky D250x

Behringer BSY-600

Does the Boss SYB-3/SYB-5 thing just as well or better

Joyo Ultimate Drive (OCD clone). I see them for $40-50 CAD on Amazon.ca as of this moment. Excellent sharp and bitey overdrive with no low end loss.

There's multiple rebrands of the Ultimate Drive on AliExpress under $20. It's a must buy at that price. I have the Saphue branded version which is $15 at the moment!

My other favourite pedal is the Donner Tutti Love chorus - also under $20.

Generally good experiences with Donner (cheap), Saphue (very cheap) and sonicake (pretty cheap). Not so much Movall and Ronin (cheap but didn't work well - maybe just unlucky). At the prices on ebay/AliExpress they're pocket money fun.

+1 to the Mooer Sweeper, great sounding and pretty affordable, versatile for a micro pedal, super fun to play.
Sorry, I can't pick just one so my honorable mention goes to the Behringer Bass Overdrive BOD400...the purple one. Just a great drive with 2 band EQ and dry signal blend, excels at low drive settings always-on.Sure, it's cheaply made but it has no business sounding as good as it does at that price.

How has your experience been with ordering from AliExpress in general? I've never dipped my toes into those waters.

Totally legit, and 100% reliable. The site itself is really strict enforcing its rules, so on the odd occasions I've had stuff go missing, or turnout to be faulty (not often, but stuff happens) I've got a full refund within a few days, no problem.

There are a large number of listings for knock off, "custom" guitars which I've stayed away from - mainly because they're priced at a level which is too good to be true, but too much for me to risk loosing. But I've bought loads of odds and ends of electronics (and TShirts - the T-shirts are great!), and always been happy. Much like eBay there's stuff that's obviously cheap rubbish, and you get what you pay for, but generally everything I've bought I think I got a good (often amazing) product for the price I paid.
