Closest I got to Rory Gallagher was a cuppa espresso in view of his memorial statute in the town square in Ballyshannon. Not sure if I need a happy or sad emoticon - have a pic here somewhere ....
My first live show as an enthralled concertgoer was Chase, most likely in 72.
Jethro Tull right after Thick as a brick w\as released. 1972. IIRC Golden Earing opened for them that tour

Allman Bros Band 1972 was 13. opened the roof of the Pittsburgh Civic Arena....and the smoke just lifted into the sky.

87 or 88. Huey Lewis opening for Santana. I was in 5th grade.
1977 Kansas at the Memphis coliseum but, since Sniff n' the tears was the opening act they are technically the first professional band I saw. Tickets were $12.00 & all the pot smoke was free
The Doobie Brothers - April 1977.
The audience was so psyched to see the Doobie Brothers that we actually booed the warm up band off the stage. It was a group no one had ever heard of before, and they were doing all original stuff. We didn't even listen to what they were playing. Later that summer their songs "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold as Ice" were all over the radio. Maybe we should have paid more attention? (I chalk it up to my teenage stupidity and mob mentality).

Kansas 1981, first show with John Elefante taking over for the recently departed Steve Walsh. It was still pretty good despite his absence.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble with Albert King opening. It was the "Couldn't Stand the Weather" tour 1983/1984. I've never seen a better show. RIP SRV, we miss you down here.
1972, Chicago (when they were awesome) at the Allentown Fair, Pennsylvania. I was 9 years old.
1999, take my 5-year-old son to his first concert: Ringo & his All Starr Band at the Universal Amphitheater in LA: Ringo, Jack Bruce, Todd Rundgren, Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), with guest appearance by Joe Walsh.
