Your First Live Concert (Spectator)...?

Wow. That would be 1968, The Association at the Villanova University Field House on an October Sunday afternoon.
Took this photo with a little piece of crap camera. The PA: two Shure Vocalmasters. I don't think any amps, mostly Fenders, were run through the PA. They were great!

It was AC/DC on the For Those About To Rock tour. Unforgettable! Your turn...View attachment 3012595
That was MY first full-on rock concert too, same band, same year, in Montreal. The best part was, my high school English teacher hooked me up with the tickets when I wrote an essay on the topic of my favorite band - AC/DC. My parents had no idea who AC/DC was, but they figured if my teacher was OK with the band, then that was good enough for them. I believe I suffered permanent hearing loss when they fired the cannons near the end of "For Those About to Rock", and I loved every minute of it. Angus Young was BEYOND HUMAN.

KISS Alive 2 tour,'77,...Kemper Arena,Kansas City.Age 15.

Went with two friends, one of which said we should get there early...We did.Found our way to the loading dock,a guy came out and asked if we wanted to make some money setting up chairs on the floor. We worked as we watched the stage get all put together and afterwards found our way to the band's dressing room, where a woman was getting everything ready. We stuck our heads in the doorway, she turned and saw us,we asked if we could come in.She smiled and said no and we stepped back into the hallway.A second later she came out with Gene's boot and let us take some pictures. She took it back in and the guy came up and told us we were done working and had to go wait outside with everybody else.

I don't know what was going on with my face here (mimicking Paul or something),I hate it ,but oh well.Laugh if you will.

Yah! Back then we never had enough time to fill all the space, or enough space to contain all the time.

How can you be in two places at once, if you're not anywhere at all?

On further reflection, I think I did see at least one or two concerts of a sort during that 10+ year time span. Spanning the ridiculous to the sublime as well: Up With People, NRBQ.
