Same as my look at the grocery store, or the bar, or christmas dinner...

No jeans in a blues band?? Somebody need prosaic on their corn flakes. Has he ever heard of the Allman Brothers? Or actually just about any blues band.

It's actually just no blue jeans, black jeans are ok and what I usually wear. Unfortunately we're nowhere near the talent of the Allman Bro's band so his thought on looking like we came to play is valid.

Here's a pix of me last night at a gig. I just got out of the hospital a few weeks ago so I'm sitting.

Good example of you're look is however you feel about yourself and what your band is presenting.

For some it's a " no thought" whatever I happen to be wearing. Which is fine.

I was just joking. I think if you have a BL you should follow the rules. I played for years in band that dressed up, had matching outfits, etc. Now I'm in an old school hard side of rock band and it's jeans and sleeveless shirts - but appropriate to the material.

I play mostly funk and R&B, some smooth jazz. When I play the FUNK and R&B I dress like a pimp :-), When I play Smooth Jazz (sometimes) I wear PJs cause alot of it puts me to sleep. :-)

The guys from Pantera said it best, in my opinion - " Let's just go out there and be comfortable - jeans, t-shirt, whatever." I may smarten things up a bit in the future.

This was back in July 2011. Motorhead tee, jeans and trainers.

This was March 2012. Metallica tee, jeans, trainers.

For me right now, it's all about comfort. The music comes first. I'll be sure to try out different shirts and tees, but the jeans and trainers (it's regular old blue jeans for me, and trainers means comfy, black and white skate shoes now) will stay.
