Your Look On Stage

I wear black - works for any gig!

Same here.
Yes Sir, the standard in stage apparel for the hard rock & metal bands everywhere.

I played in a country/rock band in the 70's ( Allman Bros. - Lynrd Skynrd - Eagles )- In looking over the pictures from the gigs, I noticed we all dressed in country flavored shirts - a neckerchief once in a while - We never really talked about our "dress", but without thinking we did it - I liked the look on stage (although I'm not really a country rock buff) and it taught me alot about "Look" and thematic ideas-. Later I redid ( I was working as an upolsterer) all the speaker covers in and burnt orange & shite stripe cloth - It Looked pretty professional- and the band had a very inexpensive classy look on stage.

In summer I wear a tee **** usually black & in winter usually a black long sleeve collared shirt however lately been wearing some country style shirts.

The lead guitarist always a black tee shirt

Singer hat coat & collared shirt

The drummers just random

Who care we, we certainly don't

My drummer wears paisley in some form or fashion at almost every show. Saturday, he wore this paisley vest he got from Macy's in NY. The guys 60 so ok, but try something different maybe?

I usually wear a short sleeve button up shirt with jeans or khakis and on outdoor fests, a Straw hat or baseball cap and shorts instead of jeans. Always comfy tennis shoes.

I tend to wear the same kinda stuff for each gig....

In the Summer - Vintage T-shirt, jeans and Vans or Converse shoes (shorts if it is an outdoor gig and boiling)
In the Winter - Vintage T-shirt with a plaid (think Vedder) longsleeve shirt undone over it, jeans and Paul Smith or Blundstone boots. I might wear an untucked dress shirt with jeans for a change.

Pretty simple.

I always wear a button down shirt, a tie, and a hat... typically with jeans and sneakers (although for nicer gigs I'll wear dress pants and shoes). My friends call it my "gig uniform".

Wow... I think this is my first post in about a year. Now that I'm unemployed, I may be back on here again more. Welcome me back! :bassist:

In my mind, it's still 1993

Plaid Shirt (Optional)
Iron Maiden Tee (or some other black thing, sleeves optional)
Shorts (camo, green, or black)
Sneaks (or combats)
Sweat
Warwick

I had a lung/chest infection at this gig (how metal am I?) so I'm more pale than usual.

Blue...I've always assumed you were some old fart wearing some version of the modern-day Mick Jones (Clash) suit. And here you are looking like a 40'ish bad-azz! Not a bad vintage look, man.

Thanks,

I noticed that many of the younger guys still like dressing like the Patrons, I guess it depends on the band.

With all the outside shows I'm doing and with this heat, I am breaking one of my rules.

I'm wearing low top chuck Taylor's, no laces and no socks.

So paisley is your drummer's signature, yours is comfy tennis shoes. They're comfy so ok, but try something different maybe? ;)

I dress appropriately to each occasion, be it a wedding, ceilidh, pub gig, concert in the park, etc...
