They are large and heavy.
Put out a little more than an 810? Yeah, probably a little more. Bury it? No way. I've seen people on here claim that the 15/6 buries the 810 and they're full of it, and even the guys who design and build them won't claim that. The 1515/66, OTOH, probably does move a little more air. But it's not a huge difference...certainly not enough to bury the 810.
Again, the OP is asking about 810s not 112s. Its great that a couple of112s works for you but suggesting to someone looking for an 810 is ridiculous. People suggesting 215s, 610s and 412s i can kind of understand. But this....are we really going there TB?

+1
810's are heavy.
Having put a '66 next to a 810e yeah it does handily burry it in volume. In my direct experience, I can easily make that claim with no reservations. Thats not to say that some people might prefer one over the other, but thats personal preference.
The 12's Torin is talking about are not your run of the mill cabs. Again in my direct experience a dual 12" woofer fEARful rig will get as loud as an 810e.

fair enough, however I never said anything about volume and the OP didn't ask for cabs that will be as loud as an 810 or bury an 810, he asked about 810s.
400 watt tube amp? you deserve something like this:
(pictures of no less than three different Fearful 2x15 cabinets shown in original post)
^Good grief.
You're right. And per my post, a man with a Trace V8 deserves something better. That IS my opinion on 810's which is what he was asking.
i read it as the OP is looking for an 810 that would work well with his V8.
"better" is subjective. and you are assuming that no 810 in the market will meet the OPs needs/tonal goals. no one asked the OP for more details or what kind of sound he wants, weight/size limitations, volume requirements etc. no one's suggestions are valid without knowing that first.
We are getting away from 810's a bit, but...just before we get back on topic...I spent hours A/Bing a Berantino NV610 and NV412. Walked away with the 412. Never heard anything finer before or since. I'd make the same decision a second time.
So which 810? NV412. IMHO.
Same here. I'd love to do a blind A/B test between the NV412 and a fridge. I'm sure we'd see more converts to the NV412.
