Who makes your bass head?

late 90's model QSC Power amp

into a Tech 21 RBI Sans Amp

out of Avatar B410 and 2x15 cabs

one rig for all occasions. Can't believe how many people on here have multiple rig set ups...not that it is bad, but for me, too much stuff to micro-manage.

The only modification I make is for jazz or pit orchestra gigs, I only bring the 4x10

My Peavey makes me happy.

I run a Genz Benz Streamliner 900. It's the best combination of tone, lightweight and form I've seen. I like that it's tube sensitive and I can roll tubes to my hearts content. I hope to pick up another and a Shuttle 9.2 as well.

I use a Genz Benz NeoX 212t as well for my stage rig. I use a GK 700RBII with a Mesa RR 115 as my practice rig.

Even though you listed Yamaha heads, I selected 'Other', but I use a Yamaha PB-1 preamp & Yamaha CP2000 power amp.

GREAT tone & lots of power, only down-side is in my older-style SKB rack case it weighs ~53-54 lbs.

I also have an EA iAmp-600 that needs a trip to the amp Dr, but it also has GREAT tone.

Hey, if everyone liked the same things, there wouldn't be a need for more than one company to exist.

Anyway, this poll follows identically to all the previous polls on the subject...Ampeg, GK, other, and Genz Benz.

But it leaves out the Thunton Powah Bass 300.
The bass is brought like eet needs bringin' Mah'n.

You might not be British, yet how is that still an excuse?

Right now my gig rig is an Ampeg B5R into an SWR Workingman 410

Practice rig is an old SWR A220 into another Workingmans 410

BUT I have a Genz Shuttle 6.2 waiting for me at work. Fed-Ex delivered it today after I was out on the road :bawl:

It'll probably take the place of the Ampeg for the gig rig. 4 lbs vs 32 plus the rack case is a no brainer as long as the output is still there.
Next up will be a lighter weight cab- those 70 lb boxes are getting tougher and tougher to move.
