Your Secret Weapon

I can have a very loud, piercing voice when choose. I am usually not a loud talker so it is more effective when I speak with volume. Brevity is a good thing.

There's a reason "the voice" played a big part in the dune series, and carried over to star wars.

The voice is to be used sparingly, there's also a reason that people associate constant yelling with posturing and insecurity.

Hand puppet. I can always defuse a situation by talking to people through my hand puppet.

Having a big unit is both a blessing and a curse

-

In my working life it was my attention to detail.
I was the guy you wanted to plan something, because I'd obsess over the details, to the point of waking up at night to jot down notes of something that occurred to me I may have overlooked or forgotten.
Ironically, I only worked as a Logistics Manager for a short term of one year.

but General Motors Thailand benefitted from my ace planning for Y2K, kind of a crowning achievement for me,
guess what, if you do a good job for Y2K, they no longer need you on 02-Jan-00 :wideyed:

It's a blessing and a curse, because it drives other sane people a little bonkers.

I can't help but notice when others do things that could easily be done differently (better), or if they use "O" instead of zero when quoting a number. It's not an O, it's a ZERO!
the "things that annoy you? thread?, I could append to that all day w/o even stopping for a bathroom break

You'd think my borderline autistic nature would make me a musical savant, but learning a new song is a huge struggle for me, and even though I love attention to detail my memory suffers.

I was always terse with my boss...in fact, I spoke to him as little as possible.
And when forced to have a conversation with him I tried to let him do all the talking.
He had a 15 second attention span anyway.

but my secret weapon is not allowed to be mentioned on TB

I'm willing to throw down and bet that mine are the longest. If frogs still jump on lilly pads, I'm taking the crown.

Mmmhmm. The crown for shortest eyelashes maybe. They call you “Captain Singed Lash” behind your back at the Connecticut State Lash Lodge.
