No prob. All that low-mid warmth works wonders with Fender-style alder-bodied bolt-on basses--my old Dean sounded amazing with it--but with my FBB, all the low mids spit out by the bass just turned to mud through my 210Ts.

Plus, they didn't handle a low B nearly as well as my Aguilar 4x10 does.

Interesting responses. I thought most people on this board were very pro-Eden. I've definitely noticed the SWR bashing in the past, but had no idea that Eden was next in line.

Is Aguilar the new benchmark? (for non boutique cabs?)

Eden is definately a big part of my sound. Eden Time Traveler 110 combo and a CXM 112 cab. Sounds great with my Azola bug and my jazz basses.

Yes, I like my CXM-110 a lot. It's a bit mid-shy, but boy oh boy does it handle a B string.

Worst sounding gear currently in production. Cold, sterile, and anemic. I tried out a lot of their pieces in an attempt to be objective, and it all sounded like dung.

But hey, that's just one man's opinion.

The Eden 212XLT is a cool cabinet though. I would gladly play through those if I could get two for cheap.

Hmm....seems to be a bit of an "attitude" towards Eden by some...bet they're talking about the XLT cabs. A quick listen to a 410 XST will cure that I think. Best combination of that warmth with clarity and definition I've ever heard. And I get to compare most of the high end stuff that's out there....(check my sig)....

I played an Aguilar DB750 and then a DB 751 for years. Love it! Powerful, warn, punchy, wooly. But I finally moved to Eden. Why? Eden is more articulate than Aguilar or Ampeg. Best of both worlds in my opinion. If money and weight were no object I'd have one of each!

I ran Eden for awhile. Wasn't gritty enough for me. Playing an eden rig is like playing with flatwound strings, just a little too smooth for my taste.

It does cut through the mix like nothing I've ever played; and now I realize that a solo/practice tone can be much different than a tone that cuts through in a band setting. I don't pretend to understand the "why" of cutting through...

I just sold my last Eden cab - a D-210XST. It sounds great, but it weighs 13 pounds more than my CN212, and I'm too old to lug it around. Back when this thread originated I was TB's resident Eden whore. I still have my '96 WT-300 and a WTX-500, both of which are superb pieces of kit.

Over the years, I've had a WT-800A, WT-800B, D-410XLT, D-210XLT, D-210XST, D-212XLT, and D-115XLT. There's something about a WT-800 and D-410XLT that just dominates.

I just bought a eden wtx264 with a eden ex112 4ohm and I use it for my double bass and it sounds so sweet. So I find this feed very interesting with different opinions

I can't speak on eden cabs but I can speak to the WT amps. If u can't get a hifi type sound out of any World Tour series Eden amp the settings are the issue not the amp.

IMHO it can also produce very warm tones also, of course its not an ampeg, aguilar or the warmer boxes guys seem to like but it can get in the neighborhood. That's the versatility I love.

I've had a WT-500, WT-600, and currently a Eden Navigator. I love eden and I wish they made a WT micro.

By design, the WT heads roll off above roughly 12 KHz, which makes them a bit warm sounding.
