Great potential for both useful goodness and extreme harm. I'm not particularly concerned about grey goo or Cyberdine, but its use as a disinformation/destabilization tool, along with the jobs its going to eliminate and the resultant societal disruption is very worrying.

I can't recall if it was someone here or elsewhere, but they mentioned that computers/AI were supposed to do more work and allow humans more recreational time to, you know, make music and art. Instead, AI is making the music and art and humans are still stuck in drudgery.

This is my thought exactly. Why spend so much into AI development just to create funny videos . The big return on investment is to destabilize governments and take them over.

Otherwise, it's pretty cool.

There certainly are military/espionage use cases, and there is no doubt they're being exploited already.

I understand the concerns of people that AI may replace them, but I think there is always a human that will control it.

Also, they are just tools meant to make our lives easier, so I would profit from this.

For example, I got an Instagram art page and use this Link Removed that creates some stunning pics I post there. The only thing is that you need to be detailed in your prompts to receive a high-quality, generated pic.
