So, I have LeBella DTBs on my Fender jazz, but I'm looking to give rounds a shot. Hopefully something with a little less tension than the La Bellas. I'm looking for a kind of happy medium string.... not too bright, but not too warm. I'm mainly playing blues and classic rock. Thanks for any advise.

Circle K's balanced tension. Very nice sounding, will last a long time for rounds and they the balanced tension is just awesome. I also use DR's, sounds like Sunbeams would be the way to go for you, round cores so lower tension, great sounding and long lasting. J's deserve rounds!!!!
That's kind of what I was thinking. Especially with active electronics. I loved the flat sound for a while, but I think I'm ready for something with a little more definition
They might be worth a shot too. It came with GHS Boomers, but I went to Fender flats right away, then to the LaBellas, so I'm pretty out of the loop on the rounds. DRs seem to get a lot os mention around here, but they make so many, I'm not sure which would suit me best. I'll look into the two brands you guys mentioned. Thanks.
Not putting down, but I usually find that people that are using D'Addarios are doing so because of the price and not because they are the best.
The term "best" is subjective. Depends on how you play. You can put [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] on a bass, but if it's not "in your hands" it won't matter if you use them or these.
BTW. I like Roto's but also like some D'Addario and even Hartke. Let the stoning begin.
DR's are nice, but they are a bit naturally scooped. D'Addario's are pretty even. Roto 66's have a mid "bark" that can't be beat. I Love LaBella flats, but Roto's are my fave rounds. Geddy's fave too, BTW.
I didn't say they were the best, just the best middle-of-the road string.
They are completely acceptable across the board--good quality, consistently made, good price, even sound and tension. Nothing offensive about them.
I'm talking about the nickel rounds, not the Pro Steels, which seem to generate more controversy.
Mine currently wears a set of .45-.103 GHS Pressurewounds. Great strings. Next time I will use a set of SIT Powerwound nickels.
