Did you end up getting your bass?
Not yet, but soon. Mr Zon and head of customer service Mr Peters have emailed me a few times over the past few months to note there has been progress

Did you end up getting your bass?
I think this is my new favourite colour for a bassIam very very excited because my new used Zon arrives tomorrow. I got a smoking hot deal on it, found it on Reverb for 1900. Yeah 1900 can’t even believe it! Minty condition. I am going to pinch myself because I still think it’s not real! Born in 2015, ash body, chocolate brown. Zon on!View attachment 3404991

Any news yet?
Bass has not arrived yet...I send a message every 2-3 weeks. Happy to say I get a response to most of them. Last estimated arrival date is around this time (July 22nd email stated probably the end of August). No worries, just hope that everyone is well and that they are able to stick to the requested specifications.
As soon as it comes I'll post unboxing pics , a review, and hopefully a video to give an approximation of the sound.
It's been a few months. Any luck? I hope so (fingers crossed).
Just to recap: in your initial post, you said you ordered the bass in February 2017.
Yup. Still waiting. I actually messaged asking if they haven't fretted it yet could they use small frets but they stated that the neck was already fretted. Progress...wish I messaged sooner though!
I was initially quoted a lead time of 8 months in February 2017. There was a little hiccup along the way (accidental battery route was added, and they warned me it would definitely add to the lead time to wait for another super lightweight piece of wood, but I told them I was ok with it). I was and am perfectly OK with waiting a bit longer to find quality materials, and I let them know that REALLY wanted them to stick to the spec sheet.
It's been a few more months, so I thought I'd check in. I hope you have your Vinny.
Just to recap: based on the OP (excerpted below) you ordered in Feb 2017, so it's now been over three years. As gwangi said, there's another TBer who's been waiting 4+ years for his Vinny. Best of luck to all who are waiting on Zons.
And contrary to what we bassists would feel, probably isn’t considered to be an “essential “ business.FYI - Zon is in Northern CA and has been under Covid mandatory shelter in place for the last 5 weeks
Just an update, nothing yet. Hope they are all well...sent them a message to that effect.
Everybody stay safe...social distance, wash hands, wear a facemask if you can...please don't mainline bleach despite whatever you may hear.
Please keep us posted on your bass, I myself am still waiting for my Legacy Elite 6.
