Double Bass Zoom B2 four

It seems no one has. So I bought and tried one.

I really like it so far. I tried bunch of preamps for MK EUB. I like it the best. Sounds great with an upright too. I mostly used it with powered monitor. I didn’t like preamps in B2 4 but amp modelings work really great. I don’t think people can tell if I’m playing an EUB.

Thanks for sharing, sounds great ! My MK is identical to yours - even down to the colour - except that cover of the tuning mechanisms. Did you make that yourself or is that something Mirko added ? I really like it :)

@kento which bass amp model are you using?
and what did'nt you like about the preamp models?

I have played around with my Zoom B3 with a Yam EUB and with my upright (using Dyn B or e609 mic both via a transformer) and I found the Fishman preamp model really useful because of the 'Depth' control which is basically a HPF.
I tried upright with the mic through the B3 recently (drumerless gig outdoors) and got some positive comments.

The B3 has a pretty hot signal out of the XLR out, which works well for me with my headrush powered speaker. How is th output level of the B2 four?

Glad you are enjoying your zoom!

I’m using a Minimark amp modeling in this video. I also like the TE and AG modeling too. What I didn’t like about the preamp modeling is, it is enhancing the high frequency too much. My MK has an unwanted treble sound. I always want to roll it off. It would not be matter with my AI Clatus 4. However, powered monitors cover wide rage of frequency. So it can sound kind of trebly.

I have no experience with the B3 but I have used the B1 four and A1 four.

What I really liked about B2 four is, Bypass sounds really uncleared. When I used the B1 four and A1 four, they make bass sound pretty thin and unclear which I thought is crucial.

I had no problem with output level of the B2 four. Isn’t it a controllable?

If I close my eyes it sounds like a Double Bass. Great sound, Great feel, Very sensitive, and ideal balance with the band.
