My active Squier Deluxe Jazz V, now running a glockenklang preamp, works great with the B3.
It also works very well with a zoom B2.1u, as well

Hey Crystalman85!
I tried out your "hard rock preamp" patch last night at my gig.
Wow! Nice sound! I am playing country music on a Casady bass and the response on that patch was spot-on as a butt-kickin' tone that I stayed with all night! You are truly a Wizard of the Zoom B3 for all your wisdom on it! Man, keep up the good work! Kuddos![]()

Patch suggestion for Psycho Killer?
Got 3 gigs this weekend, and not enough time to do everything I want with my brand new B3![]()
Okay Crystalman, you continue to pound out the awesome patches so I'm turning to you for some help. The song is Moving In Stereo by The Cars.
I've tried using the Octave but it wasn't sounding right so I switched to the Pitch SHFT (12, 2, 12, -16, 75) along with Z Tron (-1, 3, 100, 75) and a 160 Comp to even things out. I think its close, but I would love to see (hear) your take on Ben Orr's sound on this track.
Thanks for all you other awesome patches.![]()
Great Patch ideas !
I'm rediscovering my Zoom B3.
I'm currently tearing my hair out trying to emulate the sound of Nathan East on Daft Punk "The Game of Love".
Anyone to help me with these super powered lows / Mids End ?
Okay this is driving me nuts. On the ZNR the detect has a switch that is either gtrln or efxin. WTH is grnlft? Please someone tell me what I am doing wrong that I can't find this position?
Sounds to me like it's a warm bass sound with a mid-range boost. here's what I came up with.
Game of love
Section 1: znr: thresh: 18, detect: grnlft, level: 95
Section 2: optcomp: drive: 5, tone: 45, level: 50
Section 3: b-man: bass: 4, mid: 5, treble: 0, midfq: 250hz, gain: 45, level: 59, deep: off, cab: swr4x10, mix: 50
Again where is grnlft on the ZNR effect? All I can find is gtrIn or efxIn. No such thing as grnlft.
