Zoom b3 patch Ideas

Hi guys....a bit of a noob, so I begin with an "I'm sorry if I overlooked something that has already been posted!!"
Also....thank you to everybody (especially Crystalman and OzzyGreg) 79 previous pages on this thread.....I got my B3 a few weeks ago and have been using several of your tones with my band.

I'll get to the point: I'm in a band with 2 loud guitar players, and a decently loud drummer. I play a Fender Jazz and Ibanez active 5 string through the B3 run into the effects return of my Ashdown EVO II 2x10 combo.
It's got like 500 watts or whatever, so the headroom is there to keep up, but I want to CUT!! We play in Bb and C tunings. Lowwww heavy rock. I love a whole bunch of famous bassist's tones, but I've heard two recently that if I could get them dialed in.....I think I could call it good for forever.

Hmm... Well you are trying to get a big humbucker sound with a single coil (jazz bass on steroids as nordstrand says) But I'd favor the bridge pickup, but with some neck pickup.
Then playing with the bass' eq. If it has a passive mode, I'd try that for more of a jazz sound.

This might be a better question in the bass guitar or electronics sections.

A music man has a unique sound, tough to get with any jazz setup.

Hello there guys! I've created a Tim Commerford patch for RATM's Evil Empire album and onwards. See what you think! Thanks to Crystalman85 and jking138 for some amazing ideas I've tweaked around with! Message me if you want to know why I've used certain effects. I'll be happy to reply!
Try this:

Octave+Distortion:
Oct:15 Gain:20 Level:70 Dry:70 Tone:65 Chain:Before (Befr)

Bass Drive:
Bass:-2 Treble:0 Prese:3 Gain:40 Blend: 65 Level:70 Mid:2

Opt Comp:
Drive:6 Tone:50 Level:70

Tweak around with it! I'd be happy to be to know of any changes you've done to it.

Here's a new patch idea I came up. this patch has a slightly gritty but clean punchy sound the closely resemble that of a darkglass b7k in a clean preamp setting.

Metallic punch

Section 1: m comp: thresh: 20, ratio: 4, level: 90, attack: 8

Section 2: metalworld: gain: 0, tone: 25, level: 100, balance: 50

Section 3: svt: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 250hz, gain: 35, level: 40, ultra: both, cab:ag8x10, mix: 50

Here's another patch idea I came up with. this patch has a warm but partically dirty bass sound that closely resembles that of a darkglass vintage deluxe.

Warm dirt

Section 1: m comp: thresh: 20, ratio: 4, level: 90, attack: 7

Section 2: metalworld: gain: 0, tone: 25, level: 100, balance: 50

Section 3: fliptop: bass: 4, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 250hz, gain: 35, level: 40, ultra: low, cab:ag8x10, mix: 50

Not quite sure if this helps, but give this patch a try. this is a patch I created to duplicate a darkglass b7k ultra sound.

Metallic grind

Section 1: m comp: thresh: 20, ratio: 5, level: 100, attack: 7

Section 2: metalwrld: gain:25, tone: 50, level: 100, balance: 18

Section 3: svt: bass: 3, mid:4, treble: 2, midfq: 300hz, gain: 40, level: 40, ultra:both, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50

For that warwick sound, give this patch a try. this was a patch I created a while back to duplicate the mec pick-ups sounds from warwick basses.

MEC simulator

Section 1: exciter: bass: 5, treble: 7, level:80

Section 2: booster: gain: 30, bass: 2, treble: 3, level: 100

Section 3: bass pre: bass: 4, treble: 5 level: 59, mid: 7, midfq: 450hz

Give these patches a try and see if it works out for you.
